The Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads & Transport is offering 100 exciting internship opportunities for young, unemployed graduates for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 financial years.  Internships are available across various disciplines within the Department and will be based in different offices throughout the province, including Bohlabela, Ehlanzeni, Gert Sibande, and Nkangala District Offices, as well as Head Office and Cost Centres.

What We Offer:

Head Office:
* Various roles in Transport Management, Management Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Financial Management, Graphic Design, Infrastructure, Risk Management, Immovable Assets Management, Transport Operations, Government Motor Transport, Expanded Public Works Programme, Asset Management, and Human Resource Management & Development.

Bohlabela District:
* Opportunities in Project Implementation, Building Maintenance, Roads Maintenance, Property Management, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Employee Health and Wellness, Human Resource Management & Development, and Finance.

Ehlanzeni District:
* Positions in Human Resource Utilization & Capacity Development, Transport Inspectorate, Employee Health & Wellness, Property & Facilities, Expanded Public Works Programme, Roads Maintenance, and Financial Management.

Gert Sibande District:
* Internships available in the Office of the Director (Management Assistant), Human Resource Utilization & Capacity Development, Project Implementation, Expanded Public Works Programme, Building Maintenance, Road Maintenance, Financial Management, Transport Operations, Human Resource Practices & Administration, Facilities & Property, Security Management, and Government Motor Transport.
Nkangala District:
* Roles in Building Maintenance, Property Management, Roads Infrastructure, Project Implementation, Operating Licensing Board, Financial Management, Human Resource Utilization & Capacity Development, Security Management, and Employee Health & Wellness.

Requirements:
* A three-year National Diploma/Degree OR a Trade Test Certificate in a relevant field.  Specific requirements for each position are detailed in the full advertisement (see below for how to access).
