About the Role

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer Intern to join our Abbott Core Diagnostics Division in Johannesburg. This internship provides hands-on technical training, allowing you to contribute to life-changing diagnostics technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform system installations, repairs, and servicing at customer sites.
• Implement major product upgrades for assigned systems/products.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to assist with customer troubleshooting training.
• Provide service support and technical troubleshooting for various interventions.
• Offer proactive service to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

✔ Completed University Degree/National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, or related field.
✔ Valid Driver’s License & Own Car – Essential.
✔ Must be based in Gauteng and willing to travel.
✔ Available to start immediately.
✔ Previous in-service training is an advantage but no prior work experience is required.
