About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Electrician who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and components across various locations, including business premises and on-set for production shoots. As part of our technical team, you will ensure that all electrical operations run smoothly to prevent downtime and support production companies with the technical assistance they need during shoots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repairing and Testing Electrical Equipment: You will be expected to conduct thorough testing of all electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve faults promptly. This includes repairing distribution boxes, wiring of generators, and conducting regular fault finding on various electrical components.
• Technical Support on Set: During shoots, you will provide technical support to ensure minimal downtime, ensuring that all equipment is in top working condition and meeting safety standards.
• Electrical Inspections and Modifications: As part of your role, you will carry out inspections, testing, and modifications of electrical systems to ensure that they are functioning efficiently and safely. Any defects found will be logged onto job cards, and you will assist in the repair process.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management: The role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members and external stakeholders, including supervisors, dispatch teams, and set personnel, ensuring a collaborative and supportive working environment.
• Asset Management: You will be responsible for tracking and maintaining specialized gear and ensuring it is repaired quickly when needed. You will also be accountable for sourcing spare parts, particularly those that need to be imported internationally, to ensure timely repairs.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Completing damage reports and asset repairs within specified timeframes.
  • Ensuring all gear adheres to manufacturer service and safety specifications.
  • Offering prompt technical support during production to minimize production delays.
  • Managing hospital gear and ensuring timely repairs to meet high demand.
  • Managing communication with relevant departments to ensure urgent gear issues are addressed promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A National Diploma in Engineering and/or Mechanics.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician.
• Experience in electrical inspections, repairs, and installations is essential.
• Ability to work well under pressure, with a solution-oriented mindset.
• A strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
