This is an exciting opportunity for recent engineering graduates who are ready to apply their academic knowledge in a practical environment and grow into a professional engineering role.
Purpose of the Role:
As an Engineer In Training, you will play a vital role in managing and executing large-scale engineering projects while developing your technical expertise. You will be guided by experienced professionals including Engineering Managers and discipline leads, as you contribute to design work, project management, reporting, and analysis across various engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management and execution of engineering projects.
- Conduct site audits and investigations to evaluate project feasibility.
- Support the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and procurement processes.
- Contribute to the technical design and development of systems and components using CAD and analysis software.
- Oversee on-site project work to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
- Provide detailed project progress reports and support monthly report writing.
- Ensure all tasks are completed with due diligence and safety in mind.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Technical Focus Areas:
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering disciplines.
- Project inspections, close-out procedures, and cost-benefit evaluations.
- Data analysis, technical specification development, and system verification.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- No formal work experience required (vacation work during studies is acceptable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency in CAD and engineering analysis software is a plus.
