Role Overview
As a Technician in our Automated Intelligent System (AIS) team, you will be at the heart of driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. Your focus will be on ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environmental (SQDCPME) objectives are consistently met through the effective use of AIS systems and error-proofing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings to align on process improvements and deliver assigned tasks on time.
- Implement and maintain manufacturing standards and ensure team compliance.
- Provide frontline support to address AIS failures and error-proofing issues, ensuring smooth production flow.
- Validate all TCF and Body Shop AIS error-proofing systems before production starts.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions during constraint meetings.
- Configure online processes and set up AIS components as spares to minimize downtime.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizens) and identify near-miss incidents.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including CEC Controls, IT, and engineering to implement process changes and improvements.
Performance Measures:
- Resolution of all AIS/error-proofing issues.
- Reduction in production releases with concerns caused by AIS/scanning errors.
- Strong partnerships with internal IT and control systems teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- National Diploma in IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the automotive process engineering industry.
- Solid understanding of IT systems and error-proofing processes.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Willingness to work shifts in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
