Canyon Coal (Pty) Ltd is offering an exciting 2-year internship opportunity at our Gugulethu Colliery, aimed at empowering the next generation of professionals through hands-on experience, skills development, and exposure to real-world mining operations.

Available Internship Position:

• Electrical Engineering (x1)

As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals in the industry and gain invaluable knowledge that will help build your career. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic study and workplace experience, equipping you with the tools needed to succeed in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities: You will play an important role within the maintenance and engineering team. The role includes supervising and coordinating a team of technicians or mechanics, ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. Your leadership, technical skills, and ability to solve problems under pressure will be vital to delivering operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
• Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA identity document.
• Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preference Will Be Given To:

• Candidates residing in or around the Msukaligwa area.
• People with disabilities and female applicants.
