We are currently inviting applications for the Graduate Internship Programme for Mechanical Engineers.

This 24-month internship programme is designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on experience, structured training, and exposure to world-class engineering operations in the platinum group metals (PGM) industry. You will contribute meaningfully to real business operations and innovation projects while learning from industry leaders and experts.


About the Internship

As a Graduate Intern, you will:

  • Undergo a 24-month training programme that enhances your understanding of technical, safety, and managerial aspects of engineering in a mining environment.
  • Attend required training and development interventions to boost your skills and competencies.
  • Participate in technical and business improvement projects.
  • Provide engineering support to operations to help achieve business targets.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports and evaluations as part of your training requirements.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must have:

  • A National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 7 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering principles.
  • The ability to be medically fit for duty in various operational environments such as:
    • Concentrator Operations
    • Smelting Operations
    • Precious Metal Refinery (PMR)
    • Base Metal Refinery (BMR)
