Forvis Mazars Advisory invites applications from ambitious and motivated graduates to join our IT Audit Department within the Audit and Advisory division. This learnership presents a unique opportunity to build a solid foundation in the IT audit profession, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-performing environment.

About the Role
As a learnership candidate in the IT Audit (General Control Review) Programme, you will play an active role in delivering key IT audit services. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting engagements that focus on IT General Controls (ITGC), IT governance, business continuity, and cybersecurity audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute IT General Controls Reviews, IT Governance Reviews, Business Continuity Assessments, and Cybersecurity Audits
• Perform system walkthroughs and document business processes
• Create process flowcharts and identify key risks
• Assist in IS audit engagements and support audit planning and execution
• Report audit findings and draft recommendations to address root causes
• Participate in audit meetings including kick-offs and wrap-ups
• Maintain audit files, complete work programs, and meet audit quality standards
• Collaborate with senior IT auditors and managers, escalating issues as necessary
• Provide technical input and demonstrate a solid understanding of IT security practices
• Foster and maintain professional audit relationships

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a relevant qualification in IT, such as a BCom with Information Systems or BSc in Computer Science
• Demonstrate strong interest or majors in information systems, IT governance, or cybersecurity
• Show initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
• Possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and judgment skills
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team
• Results-oriented with a drive to meet goals and deadlines

• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
• Comfortable working in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment
