Position Overview
As an ICT Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the IT operations across Rosebank College campuses. Your main responsibility will be to provide desktop support by installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth IT functionality for staff members. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for practical learning and professional growth under the guidance of experienced IT managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 desktop support by diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues reported by users.
• Install and configure software applications and operating systems, ensuring compatibility and meeting system requirements.
• Perform hardware installations and upgrades following company standard operating procedures.
• Gather detailed information from users to analyze issues and identify solutions.
• Maintain and update system folders, files, and configuration data such as registry entries or environment variables.
• Collaborate with First and Second Line Managers to activate software products and manage user accounts.
• Continuously improve technical skills through on-the-job learning and mentorship.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum: Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology.
• Ideal: Degree in Information Technology.
• Knowledge of standard operating systems and IT policies.
• Clean criminal record is essential.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Customer service oriented with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
