Role Overview

As a Trading Services IT Trainee, you will deliver world-class support to our global client base, ensuring a seamless user experience across various trading platforms. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about both customer service and technology, with a keen interest in financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trade and administrative support via phone, email, and web chat
  • Troubleshoot and assist with IT and platform-related issues
  • Offer technical support for front-end platforms including MT4, TradingView, and ProRealTime
  • Assist with account administration and explain IG’s product offerings
  • Escalate complex IT and trading issues when necessary
  • Conduct daily market calls and deliver execution-only phone dealing service (after training)
  • Support with P&L and margin calculations, order types, trade assistance, and product-related queries
  • Participate in local and international projects and provide training to colleagues

Minimum Requirements

  • A degree-level education, preferably in an IT-related field
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong computer literacy and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least six months of experience in a client-facing or administrative role
  • High level of numeracy and analytical thinking
  • Interest in financial markets is highly advantageous

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a financial environment is beneficial but not required
