This internship opportunity is targeted at students who are currently seeking P1 and P2 experiential training as part of their Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The selected candidate will gain hands-on exposure within the Engineering department of PPC Aggregates, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Minimum Requirements:

To qualify for this internship opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must have completed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and require P1 and P2 workplace experience
• Must be a previously disadvantaged individual
• Must be a South African citizen with a valid South African Identity Document
• Must reside in Diepsloot, Gauteng

• A certified copy of their South African Identity Document
• A comprehensive and up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Certified copies of all academic records, including the Grade 12 certificate and the most recent statement of results from their tertiary institution
• Proof of residence in Diepsloot

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in the Engineering department and complete practical workplace experience as required for the completion of their diploma. Duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting with maintenance planning, machinery inspections, engineering reporting, and hands-on technical tasks under the supervision of experienced mentors. This practical experience is intended to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application in a professional work environment.

Location:

This internship is based at the PPC Aggregates site in Laezonia, Pretoria, Gauteng. Candidates must be willing and able to commute or relocate to the site for the duration of the internship.
