GIBB, a prominent multidisciplinary engineering firm with a strong presence across Africa, is proud to announce the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme for young South Africans interested in Civil Engineering. This opportunity offers learner placements within the Water and Integrated Infrastructure Group (WIIG) and Transportation delivery units. The programme aims to provide meaningful workplace experience, skills development, and career growth in a dynamic engineering environment.

The YES Programme is a collaborative initiative between business and government focused on reducing youth unemployment across both the private and public sectors. It enables young people to develop new skills while earning a salary, thereby enhancing their chances of securing long-term employment. The programme is open to South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 who are unemployed and available for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. Candidates must not be previous beneficiaries of the YES Programme.

Applicants are required to have completed Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science, and English. Additionally, candidates should hold or be pursuing a BTech, BSc, or BEng degree in Civil Engineering. Being computer literate and demonstrating a strong willingness to learn new skills relevant to civil engineering are essential. GIBB places high value on responsibility and honesty in its applicants.
