GIBB, a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm with a strong presence across Africa, is proud to announce the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme for young South Africans. This initiative aims to reduce youth unemployment by providing meaningful workplace experience, skills development, and a salary to enable career growth. The YES Programme is a business-led collaboration with government and is open to all South African youth, including persons with disabilities, who are encouraged to indicate their disability when applying.

The YES Programme at GIBB offers learner placements within the Group Shared Services delivery unit. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while gaining exposure to a professional engineering and business environment. GIBB is committed to transformation, empowerment, and developing the next generation of skilled professionals. This programme is ideal for young people eager to build their careers in business administration, project management, information technology, finance, or supply chain management.

Applicants must have a minimum qualification of Grade 12, along with a National Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, IT, Finance, or Supply Chain Management. Candidates should be South African citizens, aged between 18 and 35, unemployed, and available for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Previous YES beneficiaries are not eligible. PC literacy is required, and applicants should demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, a responsible and honest character, and the ambition to develop skills in their chosen field.

To be considered for the programme, applications must include an updated CV, copies of all relevant qualifications and academic records, and a copy of the applicant’s South African ID. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a structured recruitment process, and successful applicants will be placed at GIBB’s Johannesburg office.
