The Coega Development Corporation is pleased to announce its 2025 Internships Programme, designed to provide young graduates with an opportunity to gain practical work experience and bridge the gap between academic studies and professional employment. The programme spans 24 months, offering structured mentorship and coaching to support the development of skills and knowledge necessary for career advancement.

The internship programme is structured across several business units, each offering opportunities aligned to specific qualifications. The Operations business unit, based at the Coega Head Office in Gqeberha, seeks interns with a National Diploma in Security Management, Policing, Town Planning, or Geographical Information Systems. Business Development interns must hold a National Diploma in Process, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or Industrial Engineering. The ICT, Research and Strategy business unit requires candidates with a National Diploma in Software Development. Applicants holding diplomas (NQF Level 6), degrees (NQF Level 7), or honours degrees (NQF Level 8) are encouraged to apply.

The programme is intended for young, vibrant, and energetic individuals who are eager to learn and demonstrate virtuous habits and strong work ethics. Applicants must not exceed 35 years of age and should not have prior work experience in the field of study. All selected interns will follow a formalised programme of activities aimed at knowledge transfer and skills development. Each intern will receive guidance from experienced mentors and coaches to ensure that the learning experience is comprehensive and impactful.
