The Opportunity
We are seeking three dynamic Civil Engineering Technicians to join our growing team and support our expanding pavement and subsurface investigation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented professionals to develop specialized skills in civil and pavement engineering while working with state-of-the-art geophysical technology.
Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineering Technician with ARRB Systems, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive geophysical surveys using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology
- Process and analyze complex GPR data using Examiner Suite software, including data importation, filter application, and layer analysis
- Manage data point clouds and organize coordinates and layer depths using Microsoft Excel
- Utilize Google Earth Pro and Hawkeye® Toolkit for pavement GIS data analysis
- Prepare detailed, client-ready reports and technical documentation
- Support project teams with administrative tasks and deliverables
- Participate actively in pre-task planning and safety protocol adherence
- Identify and report project activities and management conditions
- Maintain consistently high-quality standards across all projects and deliverables
Essential Requirements
Education & Experience:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-2 years experience in pavement engineering, civil engineering, or related disciplines
- Valid Code EB Driver’s License
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of engineering principles with sound engineering judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with geophysical equipment (GPR knowledge advantageous but not essential)
- Quick learner with demonstrated ability to self-train on new software and concepts
