WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Operational Security Intern, you’ll be immersed in real-world cybersecurity operations, gaining invaluable experience across multiple security domains:

Monitor and maintain security systems to protect organizational assets
Assist with vulnerability assessments and comprehensive security audits
Conduct detailed log analysis to identify potential security threats
Support advanced threat detection initiatives using cutting-edge tools
Help maintain critical security documentation and procedural frameworks
Create interactive dashboards for security metrics and reporting
Participate in incident response activities and learn crisis management protocols

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Essential Requirements:

Completed 3-year Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any tertiary institution
Not participating in another learnership or internship program
Clear credit record (ITC) and clean criminal background
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Must reside in Pietermaritzburg area (relocation not available)
Under 35 years of age as of 1 August 2025
South African citizen (African, Indian, and Coloured candidates encouraged to apply)

Preferred Qualifications:

ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
Relevant Microsoft Certifications

VMware knowledge (advantageous)
