What You’ll Be Doing
Hardware & Software Management:
- Install, configure, and optimize new computers, software applications, and IT equipment
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues efficiently
- Perform system updates, upgrades, and maintenance on operating systems and equipment
- Ensure all technology runs smoothly across our branch network
Network Administration:
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, modems, and firewall systems
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues
- Implement robust security measures including antivirus protection and system safeguards
- Ensure seamless connectivity and optimal network performance
User Support Excellence:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users across all branches
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining system reliability
Working Arrangements
Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (on-site)
On-Call Support: Flexible after-hours support available from home
- Monday-Thursday: 17:00 – 19:00
- Friday-Saturday: 09:00 – 21:00
- Sunday & Public Holidays: 09:00 – 18:00
Note: After-hours calls are minimal (1-2 times per month on average) and typically involve simple troubleshooting tasks.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in In-House IT Support
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude
- Reliability and willingness to provide occasional after-hours support
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ certification or IT/Computer Science degree/diploma
- Experience with Python programming
- Previous multi-branch or retail IT support experience
