The Opportunity

We’re seeking a passionate Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. This role offers exceptional training in cutting-edge 3D scanning technology and dimensional analysis—skills that are increasingly vital in modern precision engineering. You’ll master the operation of Romer Absolute Arm technology and become proficient in PolyWorks software, positioning yourself at the intersection of traditional mechanical engineering and advanced metrology.

What You’ll Do

As our Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of critical quality processes that directly impact our customers’ operations. Your primary responsibilities will include operating sophisticated Romer Absolute Arm equipment to perform precise 3D scans of mechanical components, then processing this data to compile comprehensive dimensional inspection reports using industry-standard PolyWorks software.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, ensuring data integrity while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance measurement accuracy and reporting efficiency. Additionally, you’ll assist in quality inspections and fault analysis of precision parts, developing expertise that’s highly valued across the engineering industry.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 60% average in university results. We value strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. While basic understanding of mechanical systems and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is essential, we welcome candidates regardless of their experience level with metrology or 3D scanning—we’ll provide comprehensive training.
