Your Role

As our ICT Support specialist, you’ll be the backbone of our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless IT operations across our campus. Reporting directly to the Head ICT Support, you’ll provide comprehensive technical assistance to staff, students, and lecturers while maintaining our high standards of service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Desktop & Technical Support

• Manage and prioritize user support requests through our service desk system
• Provide expert troubleshooting for hardware and software issues
• Install and configure desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral equipment
• Conduct regular testing and maintenance of campus ICT equipment including PCs, audio-visual systems, access points, and communication devices

Administrative Excellence

• Maintain accurate ICT asset registers and equipment tracking systems
• Collaborate with service providers on equipment maintenance and procurement
• Manage software licensing compliance and installations
• Ensure server rooms and IT facilities meet health and safety standards
• Train staff on hardware and software usage
• Ensure full compliance with POPIA legislation requirements

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Higher Certificate/Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF Level 5) in A+/N+
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on ICT experience
• Valid driver’s license (where required)
• Flexibility to work ICT shift structures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Certificate/Diploma Level 6 (NQF Level 6) in CCNA1/MCSE/MCTIP
