The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Automation Technician to join a dynamic team of engineering professionals. Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Automation Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality automation solutions to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Installation: Perform professional installations of electrical and automation systems at client sites, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with experienced installation teams to deliver projects on time and within scope
  • Documentation: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, technical reports, and system manuals
  • Programming: Develop and modify PLC programs and robotic system configurations to meet project requirements
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct systematic fault finding and debugging on automation equipment and robotic systems to minimize downtime
  • Versatile Support: Assist with both mechanical and electrical installation tasks as projects demand
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and technical support to junior staff members, contributing to team development
  • System Integration: Integrate various automation components and equipment into cohesive, functional systems

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field; OR
  • Applicable trade certificate (Electrical, Millwright, or Mechatronic)

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in PLC programming and robot programming
  • Background in the automotive sector is highly preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience

Highly Advantageous Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Kuka Robots
  • Proficiency with Beckhoff PLCs
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLCs
