The Opportunity

Our 2026 Mining Engineering Internship Program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. You’ll be immersed in various aspects of mining operations, from underground development and production planning to safety management and equipment optimization. This comprehensive program will equip you with practical skills that will serve as the foundation for a successful career in mining engineering.

As an intern, you’ll participate in:

• Daily underground operations and site inspections
• Mine planning and design activities
• Safety protocols and risk management procedures
• Equipment selection and operational efficiency projects
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across our operation

Who Should Apply?

We’re seeking motivated, ambitious graduates who are:

• Holders of a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Under 35 years of age
• South African citizens with no previous internship experience
• Currently unemployed and eager to start their professional journey
• Medically fit with a clear criminal record

Priority Consideration: In line with our commitment to community development, preference will be given to residents of Ekurhuleni, particularly those from Springs, Benoni, Brakpan, and Nigel. We believe in investing in our host communities and creating opportunities for local talent.
