Eskom, South Africa’s leading electricity utility, is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our Maintenance Department at Tutuka Power Station as a Technician – Civil. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reliability and performance of one of the country’s key energy assets.

About the Role

As a Civil Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the project team by managing documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll ensure that systems are optimized, components are correctly procured, and modifications are implemented to enhance plant reliability. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize allocated systems to ensure operational efficiency
• Verify procurement of correct components, spares, and services
• Assist in plant modifications to improve reliability and performance
• Provide guidance and support for staff development initiatives
• Supervise projects and contracts, ensuring compliance and quality standards
• Adhere to Eskom’s permit-to-work system and safety protocols

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Qualifications:
• National Diploma or National N Diploma in a Technical field
• Experience:
• Completion of P1 & P2 Experiential Training
• Relevant experience in maintenance within a technical or industrial environment
