About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate to work on live production systems in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll be delivering diverse engineering projects from initial concept through to full implementation, gaining hands-on experience across the complete project lifecycle.
As a Graduate Mechatronic Engineer at Bowler Packaging, you’ll develop and integrate cutting-edge automation systems, including PLC/HMI programming, machine vision, SCADA systems, and sophisticated data analytics platforms. You’ll work on machine builds and upgrades, combining electrical, mechanical, and control systems to create innovative solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.
Your responsibilities will span the full spectrum of modern manufacturing engineering—from implementing engineering standards and documentation to delivering reliability projects focused on predictive maintenance approaches. You’ll troubleshoot intricate production issues, collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams, and produce high-quality engineering work with meticulous attention to detail, all while maintaining focus under real production pressures and time-sensitive conditions.

Who You Are
We’re looking for candidates with a degree in Mechatronic Engineering (preferred), though engineering degrees in related fields will be considered where candidates can demonstrate cross-disciplinary capability. Candidates with a Diploma in Mechatronics who possess exceptional technical capability and proven project experience are also encouraged to apply.
While not required, beneficial skills include experience with automation and control systems (PLC/HMI, motion control, fieldbuses, SCADA), CAD and machine engineering tools (Inventor, iLogic, simulation, AutoCAD Electrical), software and data technologies (Python, Pandas, Git, APIs, web frameworks), machine vision and ML (OpenCV, Jetson, applied models), and robotics (industrial robots, frameworks like Isaac and ROS2).
