ICT Governance and Project Support Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated ICT professional to support governance, security, audit reporting, risk management, vendor management, and project delivery. Requires NQF Level 4 and National Diploma (NQF 6) in IT or related field.


An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented ICT professional to join our dynamic team as an ICT Governance and Project Support Officer, reporting directly to the ICT Governance and Service Delivery Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance & Compliance:

  • Compile comprehensive governance reports ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the information security programme across the organization
  • Support ICT audit reporting processes and provide timely, accurate information relating to internal and external audits
  • Contribute to ICT risk management activities including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies
  • Assist in vendor management processes and compile vendor performance reports
  • Prepare detailed ICT reports for all committees where ICT representation is required

Project Management & Delivery:

  • Initiate and roll out all approved ICT projects from conception through to successful completion
  • Compile and maintain comprehensive project documentation including issues logs, risk registers, and deliverables tracking
  • Assist in producing detailed ICT project reports for stakeholders and management
  • Support the development and management of ICT project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenditure, and ensuring cost-effective delivery

Minimum Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent certification (minimum NQF Level 4)
  • National Diploma or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Analytical thinking capabilities with problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
  • Understanding of ICT governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and project methodologies
  • Proficiency in project management tools, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively
