About This Opportunity

Minopex is seeking motivated students to join our 12-month Work Integrated Learning programme, designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice. This isn’t just another internship – it’s a transformational experience that will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and industry exposure needed to excel in the mineral processing sector.

Based at various sites nationally, you’ll be immersed in authentic mining operations, working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about developing the next generation of industry leaders. This programme offers invaluable hands-on experience in real operational environments, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge while developing practical competencies that will set you apart in the job market.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for South African citizens who have completed up to S4 (fourth year) of their National Diploma in one of the following disciplines:

• Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)
• Data Scientist/Computer Science/Data Analyst

The ideal candidate will demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum average of 60% or above, showing both technical aptitude and a genuine enthusiasm for the mining industry. You should be eager to learn, adaptable to challenging environments, and committed to safety and operational excellence.
