About the Program
The ATNS Air Traffic Services Bursary Program is a fully-funded training initiative designed to develop the next generation of aviation professionals. With 117 bursary positions available across four intakes this financial year, this is your chance to receive world-class training at the prestigious Aviation Training Academy in Bonaero Park, Gauteng.
Available Career Streams
Choose from five specialized career paths:
- Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO) – Control aircraft movements and ensure safe skies
- Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO) – Manage critical aviation data and information systems
- Target Generating Officer (TGO) – Support air traffic control training operations
- Airport Management Centre Liaison Officer – Coordinate airport operations and communications
- Simulator Support Officer (SSO) – Maintain and operate flight simulation technology
What You’ll Gain
This comprehensive program offers extensive training and hands-on exposure to various aspects of air traffic management. Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for motivated candidates who meet the following criteria:
- South African citizens with valid Identity Documents
- Matriculants with Pure Mathematics (Level 4/HG-D/SG-C or above)
- English proficiency (Level 4/HG-D/SG-C or above)
- Unemployed youth ready to launch their careers
- Physically fit individuals willing to undergo medical assessments (ATSO stream)
- Candidates prepared to relocate anywhere in South Africa
Please note: Applicants who previously participated in similar ATNS programs are not eligible.
