As a high-performing opencast mining operation, we deliver millions of tons of thermal coal annually to export markets, playing a vital role in powering the industrial world.

Are you an engineering student who has completed your theoretical training and ready to gain the practical experience needed to graduate? This is your chance to join a team that makes it happen. Our 12-month Experiential Learning Program bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, setting you up for a successful engineering career.

What You’ll Do

As an experiential trainee, you’ll immerse yourself in hands-on learning that brings your studies to life. You’ll attend theoretical and practical training sessions at CTC and other accredited training providers, while completing on-the-job practical training modules as prescribed by your logbook. This comprehensive approach ensures you develop both technical expertise and workplace readiness.

We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate
• Completed S2, S3, or S4 in one of these disciplines:
• Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) – Ref: HEAVY2026
• Electrical Engineering (Light Current) – Ref: LIGHT2026
• Mechanical Engineering – Ref: MECH2026
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong knowledge of safety systems, regulations, and standards
• Flexibility to work shifts, standbys, and call-outs when required
• Certificate of fitness (must possess or be able to obtain)
