The Opportunity

We’re seeking a dynamic Process Engineering Technician Intern to support our advanced manufacturing operations. This hands-on role offers unparalleled exposure to PLC automation, process control systems, and industrial instrumentation within a cutting-edge textile manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll gain practical experience across critical technical domains including PLC programming and troubleshooting, variable speed drives and motor systems, process instrumentation and calibration, preventative maintenance strategies, and plant reliability optimization. Exposure to machine commissioning, utilities automation, and continuous improvement initiatives will accelerate your professional development.

Your Responsibilities

Support PLC-controlled machinery maintenance and optimization, assist with fault-finding on drives, motors, and MCC systems, participate in instrumentation installation and calibration, contribute to planned maintenance activities, support breakdown resolution and root-cause analysis, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and housekeeping standards.

What You Bring

Essential: Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, National Diploma or Technical Qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Advantageous: Trade Test certification (Instrumentation/Electrician/Millwright), PLC programming knowledge, exposure to VSDs and industrial controls, understanding of textile manufacturing or continuous-process environments, and millwright or machine commissioning experience.
