About the Opportunity

This exciting fixed term contract position offers you the chance to gain invaluable hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. As an IT Service Centre Intern, you’ll be at the heart of our technology operations, providing essential support to our business users and ensuring seamless IT service delivery across the organization.

Your Role

Working under the guidance of our Service Centre Supervisors and Service Manager, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our IT infrastructure and supporting end-users. Your primary responsibilities will include managing IT incidents and service requests from start to finish, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining our high service standards.

You’ll provide first-line technical support through phone and email, accurately documenting and tracking all incidents in our system. Taking complete ownership of each case, you’ll work diligently to resolve issues promptly, escalating complex matters when necessary. Your role demands professional engagement with both internal stakeholders and external vendors, always maintaining our commitment to exceptional customer service.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have completed their Matric/Grade 12 and hold an IS or IT Diploma. You should possess strong knowledge of information systems, company policies, and governance frameworks. Understanding of customer service principles and incident management processes is essential.

We value candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong analytical abilities and technical computer proficiency. Your capacity to plan, organize, and deliver results while meeting customer expectations will be crucial to your success.
