The Opportunity

This limited-duration in-service training position offers final-year Electrical Engineering students an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional consulting engineering environment. You will work alongside experienced designers and engineers, contributing to meaningful projects while developing the technical and professional skills essential for a successful engineering career.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineering Student Trainee, you will:

  • Support our electrical design team with various design activities across multiple projects
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed electrical equipment specifications
  • Contribute to procurement processes for electrical equipment and infrastructure
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of equipment installation projects
  • Engage with technical documentation and drawing preparation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on integrated projects
  • Attend site visits and gain practical exposure to engineering installations

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a BEng or BSc Eng degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Final-year student status (essential)
  • Availability to work full-time on weekdays at our Secunda office
  • Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence
