This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and interested in learning how large industrial facilities are maintained and managed efficiently. The successful candidate will assist with routine administrative duties such as managing work orders, organizing delivery notes, maintaining disposal certificates, and updating inspection registers. These tasks are critical to ensuring compliance, accountability, and operational continuity across the site.
In addition, the intern will work closely with the procurement and finance teams by ordering maintenance materials and ensuring invoices are forwarded to the appropriate departments for processing. The role also includes daily monitoring of security systems and reporting any faults or irregularities, as well as observing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system performance to identify and report any unusual variations. The intern will be involved in completing facilities inspection checklists and assisting with the administration of waste management processes across the site, contributing to environmental responsibility and workplace safety.
FUCHS is looking for candidates who possess a National Senior Certificate (NSC) along with a qualification or ongoing studies in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field. This 12-month work-based learning programme offers interns the chance to gain meaningful exposure within the manufacturing industry while receiving continuous coaching and mentorship from experienced professionals. Interns will benefit from a dynamic and varied work environment where they can build practical skills, understand corporate processes, and develop professional confidence. The internship not only enhances technical knowledge but also prepares participants for future career opportunities in facilities management, operations, or administration.
