About the Engineering Internship

As an Engineering Intern at Wabtec, you will support core production, reliability, quality, safety, and productivity functions in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Engineering and Reliability Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams on real operational challenges that directly impact efficiency and output.

This internship offers practical exposure to engineering investigations, data analysis, and systems implementation rather than purely academic tasks.


Key Responsibilities

• Support production engineering activities by reviewing technical drawings and identifying component-related issues
• Analyze production problems and apply logical engineering thinking to guide investigations
• Assist with root cause analysis using Ishikawa diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Excel-based data analysis
• Provide MRP support during Oracle system implementation, including navigation, uploads, revisions, and process flow understanding
• Assist with engineering documentation, including maintenance manuals and drawing updates
• Support safety, quality, and productivity improvement initiatives
• Track engineering changes using Excel Gantt charts
• Participate in investigations, off-site support activities, and other ad-hoc engineering tasks as required


Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields)
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
• Interest in manufacturing, production engineering, and industrial operations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
