ERRATUM

The Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for unemployed graduates to gain valuable work experience through our two-year Internship Programme for the 2026/27 financial year.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

This comprehensive internship initiative is designed to provide recent graduates with practical exposure across various fields of study within the Provincial Treasury. The programme offers hands-on experience in a professional government environment, enabling interns to develop essential skills and competencies that will enhance their future career prospects.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this internship programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an unemployed graduate aged between 18 to 35 years
  • Have completed a three (03) year National/Advanced Diploma/Degree/Honours/Master’s degree in the relevant field from accredited Higher Education and Training institutions
  • Be a South African Citizen
  • Have not previously participated in an internship programme

STIPEND

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend allowance in accordance with the Ministerial Determination of Interns in the Public Service: R 94,326.00

  • Legal Services – Law
  • Planning – Public Affairs, Public Management, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Internal Audit – Internal Auditing
  • Security Management – Security Management
  • Human Resource – Human Resource Management/Development
  • Office of the CFO – Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Accounting, Financial Management
  • PAFD – Accounting, Financial Management, Banking
  • Budget & Expenditure – Economics, Public Finance, Accounting, Statistical Analysis
  • Municipal Finance – Accounting and Financial Management
  • Information Technology – Computer Science
  • Supply Chain Management – Procurement, Logistics, Public Management
  • Accounting Services – Accounting and Financial Management
  • Risk Management – Risk Management

Positions are available at the Head Office in Mbombela (Nelspruit) and various regional offices.
