Key Responsibilities
Client Service Officers will engage directly with members of the public, providing essential services including:
- Screening and assisting clients with various labour-related queries
- Processing applications for Unemployment Insurance Fund benefits
- Registering and managing payment continuation forms
- Performing general administrative functions to support efficient labour centre operations
- Ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
Essential Qualification:
- Grade 12/Matric Certificate
Required Knowledge Areas:
Successful candidates should demonstrate understanding of the Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations, Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Treasury Regulations, Batho Pele Principles, and departmental policies and procedures.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication abilities (both verbal and written), computer literacy, active listening, conflict management, time management, customer relations, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and professional telephone etiquette are essential for success in this role.

Positions are available at 25 labour centres across Gauteng, including Alberton, Benoni, Boksburg, Brakpan, Carletonville, Germiston, Johannesburg, Kempton Park, Nigel, Roodepoort, Sandton, Sebokeng, Soweto, Springs, Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging, Atteridgeville, Bronkhorstspruit, Ga-Rankuwa, Krugersdorp, Mamelodi, Pretoria, Randfontein, Soshanguve, and Temba.
