At MAHLE, we believe we are stronger together, and we are looking for the next generation of talent to join us on that journey.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time, 12-month paid development programme designed to give you meaningful, hands-on experience in a real manufacturing quality environment. Based at our Durban facility, you will work alongside experienced quality professionals, gaining the practical skills and industry knowledge needed to build a successful career in manufacturing quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

From day one, you will be immersed in the world of quality assurance. Your responsibilities will include supporting the measurement and testing of products, assisting with the control and calibration of inspection and test equipment, and contributing to Measurement System Analysis processes. You will also gain valuable experience in quality inspection of incoming materials — giving you a well-rounded understanding of quality management from the ground up.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this programme, you must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and be a South African citizen aged 18 or older. You must be medically fit and able to communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Beyond your qualifications, we are looking for someone who brings energy, initiative, and integrity to everything they do. You should be analytically minded, a strong problem-solver, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail will be key to your success in this role.

Why MAHLE?

At MAHLE, you won’t just observe — you’ll contribute. You’ll work on real challenges, alongside talented colleagues from across the globe, and play an active role in shaping the mobility solutions of tomorrow. We offer a market-related salary and a culture that genuinely values growth, diversity, and collaboration.
