About the Role

As a SHEQ Intern, you’ll be embedded in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial environment where safety and compliance are at the heart of everything we do. This isn’t a desk-bound internship — you’ll gain real, hands-on exposure to workplace safety inspections, environmental management, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work alongside experienced SHEQ professionals who are committed to developing the next generation of safety leaders in South Africa.

Over the course of 12 months, you’ll support the department across a broad range of functions including Health & Safety coordination and reporting, Governance and Risk Management, Environmental Management, Quality Assurance, and Training & Awareness initiatives. You’ll also be involved in policy development and administrative functions that keep the SHEQ department running efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for motivated individuals between the ages of 20 and 28 who hold a BAdmin, BCom, or Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field. You must be available and committed to completing the full 12-month programme.

Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential, along with solid computer literacy — particularly in Microsoft Office. We value candidates who are analytical, well-organised, proactive problem-solvers with good time management skills. A basic understanding of South African safety and environmental legislation will be a distinct advantage.

What You’ll Receive

In addition to invaluable industry experience and mentorship, successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the internship.
