About Adcock Ingram Holdings Limited
Adcock Ingram Holdings Limited is one of South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, committed to improving the health and lives of people across the continent. We operate at the intersection of innovation, quality, and compliance — and we’re looking for the next generation of engineering talent to help us optimise how we do it.
If you’re a driven, analytical recent graduate with a passion for manufacturing excellence and process improvement, this is your opportunity to launch your career in a dynamic, regulated, and highly rewarding industry.
The Role
As a Junior Industrial Engineer, you will be embedded within our manufacturing and supply chain environment, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world production challenges while contributing meaningfully from day one. You’ll work alongside experienced cross-functional teams — spanning production, quality assurance, and logistics — to identify inefficiencies, improve workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
This is not a passive graduate seat. You will be actively involved in analysing production workflows, supporting supply chain planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in line with GMP standards, SAHPRA guidelines, and ISO requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will assist in analysing production workflows and identifying bottlenecks using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and time-motion studies. You’ll support production planning by developing schedules, forecasting resource needs, and optimising inventory levels to minimise waste and downtime. Collecting and interpreting KPI data — including cycle times, yield rates, and throughput — will be central to your day-to-day work, helping the business make smarter, faster decisions.
You’ll conduct time studies, assist with layout designs and manufacturing simulations, and contribute to risk assessments and compliance documentation. You’ll also play an active role in continuous improvement events such as Kaizen, and will regularly prepare reports and presentations for senior management that translate data into clear operational insights.
What We’re Looking For
A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field is required — recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. You should be analytically minded, comfortable working with data, and eager to learn within a structured, compliance-driven environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments will set you apart.
Why Join Us?
At Adcock Ingram, you’ll receive structured mentorship, professional development support, and the kind of exposure that accelerates a career in manufacturing and operations. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with POPIA and our Privacy Notice, available at www.adcock.co.za.
