Programme Overview
The Graduate Development Programme is designed to give graduates hands-on experience and exposure to real-world projects across various departments. Participants will receive professional mentorship and rotational experience in relevant functional areas to build skills, knowledge, and practical competence in their chosen discipline.
Successful candidates will be placed in relevant departments across KwaZulu-Natal for the full 36-month period.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed at the time of application
- Be South African citizens
- Be under 45 years of age
- Have completed a minimum three-year formal qualification from a recognised Higher Education Institution
- Have at least two years of relevant experience (where applicable)
- Be available for the entire duration of the programme
- Hold a valid driver’s licence

- Internal Audit – National Diploma in Internal Auditing (NQF 6) – 1 position
- Information Technology / Communication Services – National Diploma / BSc Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Web Development (NQF 6/7) – 3 positions
- Scientific Services – Ecological Advice (Umngeni / Westville / KZN Region) – Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences / Environmental Management / Zoology / Botany / Ecology / Environmental Management (NQF 7/8) – 3 positions
- Finance / Asset Management – National Diploma in Accounting or Advanced Diploma / Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Accounting Major (NQF 6/7) – 1 position
- Financial Services / Supply Chain Management – Bachelor of Commerce Degree / Advanced Diploma in Accounting / Financial Management / Public Administration / Business Administration / NQF Level 7 (NQF 7/8) – 1 position

Stipend & Contract
- Appointment on a fixed-term 36-month contract
- Monthly stipend ranging from R5 000 to R7 000, depending on qualification and role
