What You’ll Do

As an Intern supporting the Market Research & Analysis team, you’ll be involved in a variety of impactful tasks:

Market Research & Analysis

• Maintain the Capital Markets SSA weekly transaction and business development tracker
• Conduct primary research into real estate assets, ownership structures, potential buyers, developers, sellers, and lenders across Africa
• Support the development and maintenance of key databases tracking historical transactions and industry stakeholders

Financial Analysis & Valuation Support

• Assist with property valuation work using income, sales comparison, and cost approaches
• Contribute to financial modeling and investment analysis
• Help prepare cash flow projections and calculate investment returns
• Support the due diligence process for transactions in progress

Research Publications

• Assist in the preparation of research publications, including regular market overviews and insights
• Support ongoing publication efforts that help clients and teams stay informed about market dynamics

Transaction & Client Support

• Provide coordination support for internal and external client events
• Assist the team with ongoing transactions and pitches

Who We’re Looking For

Candidates should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Coursework, knowledge, or interest in property valuation and financial modeling
• Familiarity with investment analysis concepts (IRR, NPV, cap rates)
• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis)
