Programme Overview

AVBOB, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is proud to offer an exciting 12-month Long Term Insurance Unemployed Learnership Programme at NQF Level 4 (140 credits) based in Malamulele, Limpopo.

This is a fully structured, work-based learning programme that combines accredited theoretical training with hands-on practical workplace experience, culminating in a nationally recognised qualification in the insurance sector. The programme is specifically designed for unemployed young South Africans who are eager to build a meaningful career in the financial services and insurance industry.

Learners will be exposed to core insurance concepts, client-facing skills, administrative functions, and the day-to-day operational environment of one of South Africa’s most respected insurers. This is not just a learning opportunity — it is a career launchpad.

Who Should Apply?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Must be in possession of a valid Matric Certificate
  • Must have completed English and Maths / Maths Literacy / Accounting as matric subjects
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must not have previously attended a learnership programme
  • Must not be registered with any other academic institution or enrolled in any other studies
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation
  • Must be willing to work at AVBOB offices in the Malamulele area

Advantageous:

  • Access to a smartphone or laptop
  • Proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
