Programme Overview

The iGuardSA Cybersecurity Learnership Programme is a 12-month structured work-based learning experience running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, based at our offices in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The programme leads to a nationally recognised qualification: the QCTO-Accredited Cybersecurity Analyst at NQF Level 5.

This is not a passive classroom experience. Learners will be immersed in real-world cybersecurity environments, combining theoretical training with hands-on practical tasks under the guidance of seasoned industry professionals. From network security fundamentals to threat analysis and incident response, you will graduate with the skills, confidence, and credentials to enter the cybersecurity field as a competent practitioner.

Who Should Apply

iGuardSA is looking for South African citizens between the ages of 21 and 28 who hold a relevant IT, Computer Science, or Engineering degree — or a BSc/BCom degree with a strong focus on Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science. Candidates must not have previously participated in a similar QCTO-accredited learnership at NQF Level 5.

You should bring a basic understanding of information systems, networks, or cybersecurity fundamentals, paired with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Above all, you must be ready to commit fully to the 12-month programme and embrace the values of Trust, Discipline, and Execution in everything you do.
