DHL Supply Chain South Africa is currently recruiting a Graduate: Logistics Specialist based in Boksburg, Gauteng.

About the Role

This graduate opportunity is designed for a driven and analytical individual who is eager to build a career in supply chain and logistics. The successful candidate will support the development of supply chain solution proposals by conceptualising and presenting effective operational solutions that meet both business and customer needs. In addition, the role includes assisting senior management with key strategic initiatives, supporting the key account management team, and contributing to strong customer relationship management.

A core responsibility involves capturing and maintaining master data for sites transitioning to the new WMOS system, as well as providing data support to Customer and Returns (C&R) sites, including on-site assistance where required. The role also involves performing ad hoc tasks to enhance operational performance and address client queries.

Key Responsibilities

The Graduate: Logistics Specialist will support the development and implementation of new and standardised operational processes and systems; identify and resolve problematic processes and system outputs; and provide timely, accurate management information and reports to senior management and customers. The role requires benchmarking operational processes against best practices and industry trends, supporting the delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and analysing data alongside operational and functional experts to recommend strategies for improvement. The successful candidate will also contribute to developing and presenting new solution proposals to internal and external stakeholders, while supporting compliance with policies and procedures in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

Applicants must hold a degree in Supply Chain Management. A tertiary qualification in Logistics or Business Management is advantageous. Matric is essential. Proficiency in English — both verbal and written — is required.

The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel knowledge and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems. The role demands a self-starter who can complete work independently, on time, and to a high standard without supervision. Own transport is preferred, as the role involves travel to multiple sites. Flexibility to move between tasks and responsibilities is essential.
