About the Programme

The Graduate Programme sits within the Services division and reports directly to the Maintenance Team Leader. Over 24 months, participants will be immersed in a dynamic and technically challenging work environment, collaborating across multiple teams and departments.

The programme is designed to equip graduates with practical, real-world skills in rail maintenance — preparing them for long-term careers in the transport manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician Graduate, your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment in compliance with specified quality procedures and standards
• Upholding quality, safety, and compliance protocols at all times
• Accurate documentation and reporting
• Active team collaboration and a commitment to continuous learning
• Responsible use and care of all equipment
• Building comprehensive product knowledge across Gibela’s rail systems

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• No previous work experience required
• South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proficient in MS Office
