About the Programme
The Graduate Programme sits within the Services division and reports directly to the Maintenance Team Leader. Over 24 months, participants will be immersed in a dynamic and technically challenging work environment, collaborating across multiple teams and departments.
The programme is designed to equip graduates with practical, real-world skills in rail maintenance — preparing them for long-term careers in the transport manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician Graduate, your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment in compliance with specified quality procedures and standards
- Upholding quality, safety, and compliance protocols at all times
- Accurate documentation and reporting
- Active team collaboration and a commitment to continuous learning
- Responsible use and care of all equipment
- Building comprehensive product knowledge across Gibela’s rail systems
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- No previous work experience required
- South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficient in MS Office
