Joburg City Theatres (JCT), an entity of the City of Johannesburg, is offering internship opportunities to unemployed South African graduates as part of its commitment to skills development and youth empowerment. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following internship positions:
Available Internship Positions
1. Customer Services Intern
Reference No: CS/ST/04/2026
Location: Soweto Theatre (Jabulani)
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- Diploma or Degree in Public Administration or a related qualification
- Computer literacy in MS Office Applications and email
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
- Logging and tracking customer requests and complaints
- Maintaining customer records in the CRM system
- Preparing reports on customer interactions, feedback, and trends
- Coordinating follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Supporting service delivery activities such as product demonstrations or client meetings
- Participating in training sessions on company products, services, and customer service protocols
- Compiling weekly or monthly learning reports on tasks performed and insights gained
2. Information Technology Intern
Reference No: IT/JT/04/2026
Location: Joburg Theatre (Braamfontein)
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related qualification
- Computer literacy in MS Office Applications and email
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting basic computer issues, including system performance, software errors, and connectivity
- Setting up and configuring computers, including software installation and system updates
- Managing password resets, user account setup, and general system support requests
- Gaining exposure to network fundamentals and basic Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Maintaining and updating records of IT equipment
- Addressing IT-related staff queries and following established IT procedures and protocols
General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants for both positions must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Be currently unemployed
- Not have previously participated in an internship programme, except where a prior internship was not relevant to their field of study
