The Opportunity
Bridgestone South Africa is inviting applications for its Engineering Graduate Programme 2026, based at the Brits Manufacturing Plant in North West Province. This structured development programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic preparation and professional practice, equipping recently qualified engineering graduates with the practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional networks needed to build a successful career in the automotive and manufacturing sector.

What You Will Do
As a Graduate Engineer on the programme, you will rotate through developmental assignments that provide hands-on exposure to the manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Gaining practical, on-the-job experience supported by structured coaching and supervision
- Gathering industry insights and understanding best practices within tyre and rubber manufacturing
- Applying theoretical knowledge to develop innovative business and engineering solutions
- Assisting with active project tasks, including research, analysis, and technical documentation
- Attending meetings, seminars, and networking events to build professional relationships
- Receiving and providing ongoing performance feedback to support continuous professional growth
Qualifications Required
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, BTech, or Postgraduate qualification in one of the following engineering disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
Accepted qualifications include a BEng, BSc Eng, Advanced Diploma in Engineering, BEng Tech, BEng Tech Honours, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master of Engineering.
