The Gauteng Office of the Premier is inviting applications from unemployed graduates for its 2026 Internship Programme. This is a 24-month paid internship within the Directorate: Service Delivery Interventions, offering recent graduates the opportunity to gain meaningful workplace experience in a supportive and development-focused environment.
About the Programme
The Office of the Premier is committed to youth and skills development across Gauteng and South Africa at large. The 2026 Internship Programme is specifically designed for graduates who completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies by the end of the 2025 academic year and have not previously participated in a government internship programme. Successful candidates will be placed in a structured environment that supports continuous professional growth over the full 24-month period.
Stipend
Interns will receive a stipend of R94,324.68 per annum, depending on the level of qualification attained.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this internship, applicants must hold an NQF Level 6, 7, 8, or 9 qualification in one of the following fields:
- Business Information Technology
- Systems Analysis and Design
- Information Systems
- IT Management
- Operations Research
- Systems Engineering
- Business Administration
- Business Process Management
- Operations Management
In addition, applicants must be South African citizens, currently residing in Gauteng Province, unemployed, and must not have previously participated in a government internship programme.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will be required to complete all tasks assigned in relation to the post within the Directorate: Service Delivery Interventions. This provides a practical, hands-on learning experience aligned with the intern’s field of study.
