About the Programme

The MTN 2026 ICT Internship Programme has been designed with one clear purpose: to equip young South Africans with the critical technical skills, professional competencies, and real-world exposure needed to thrive in the ICT sector. Who Should Apply?

MTN is looking for motivated, professional individuals who are eager to learn and ready to contribute. To be eligible, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Hold an NQF Level 5 or higher qualification from a recognised South African tertiary institution or TVET college (qualification must be completed at time of application)
• Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35
• Have no prior formal work experience
• Demonstrate professionalism and a genuine willingness to learn
• Be available and committed to completing the full 12-month programme
• Reside in Gauteng Province — this is a strict requirement for eligibility
