Ekurhuleni Water Care Company (ERWAT) is offering an In-Service Training opportunity in Chemical Engineering for students looking to gain hands-on, practical experience in a real-world industrial environment. Key Performance Areas
- Assist in the design and analysis of chemical processes under the guidance of a senior process controller
- Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate chemical properties and reactions
- Collect and analyse data to support process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical projects and safety assessments
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and present results to the engineering team
- Contribute to the development and optimization of production processes

Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Science
- Completed theoretical modules for a Chemical Engineering degree programme
- Demonstrable experience with engineering principles and laboratory techniques related to chemical processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Commitment to safety and environmental standards in engineering practice
