Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd, one of South Africa’s leading FMCG companies, is offering an exciting opportunity for IT graduates to join its Graduate Programme within the IT Support environment. Premier is behind some of the country’s most trusted household brands, spanning its Bakery, Milling, Confectionery, Home & Personal Care and Culinary divisions, and the business is built on a culture of innovation, collaboration and high performance.
Over the course of the 12-month programme, graduates will be placed within the IT Department, gaining exposure to the broader Premier business while being upskilled in Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis, Product Support, Service Management, Problem Solving (including creating automated solutions using AI), and Customer Service Excellence.
A core focus of the programme is giving graduates broad exposure to Enterprise Applications, including ERP Solutions, Finance Systems, and Manufacturing and Warehouse Systems. Alongside this technical exposure, graduates will receive Professional Development support to strengthen their Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Time Management, Teamwork and Critical Thinking abilities.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with MS Office products, particularly Excel
- Fundamental skills in Business Management, with Accounting passed to at least 2nd year (3rd year preferred)
- Ability to cope with pressure and setbacks
- Results-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical thinking
- Time management and deadline orientation
- Team player with open communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work shifts, participate in a stand-by rotation, and travel to branches when required
Experience Requirements
No prior work experience is required. Ad hoc roles or internships completed while studying will count in your favour.
Qualifications
- BCom Information Systems
- BCom Computer Science
- BCom Finance
Other Requirements
- Recently graduated from a recognised university
- Some workplace exposure will be advantageous
- Candidates should be prepared to work in an FMCG environment, which may require overtime and weekend work from time to time
