Reutech Communications (RC) is inviting applications for its 2027 Graduate Programme, a 24-month structured development opportunity for qualified engineers looking to build a career in the design, manufacture, and support of advanced military secure communications systems.

About Reutech Communications

RC is a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of state-of-the-art V/UHF and HF military secure communications transceivers. Established in 1968, the company is a division of Reutech (Pty) Ltd, itself owned by Reunert Limited, a JSE-listed company in the electronics and electrical engineering sectors and 100% South African owned. With over 56 years of experience in V/UHF and HF communications systems, RC offers a compelling proposition for licensed manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), as well as field support for VHF/UHF Communication Systems.

About the Programme

The Graduate Programme is designed to empower young engineers with the practical skills and hands-on experience needed to advance their careers, whether at Reutech or elsewhere in the industry. The objective is to build a pipeline of competent, work-ready graduates who can contribute meaningfully to organisational success and support broader industry growth.

Positions are available at both the company’s Head Office in New Germany, KwaZulu-Natal, and its Centurion Office in Gauteng. The programme is scheduled to commence on 1 February 2027.

Minimum Requirements

  • A graduate qualification (BScEng or BEng) in one of the disciplines above; a postgraduate qualification will be an advantage
  • Applicants must have qualified recently (within the last two years) or be in their final year of study in 2026
  • Applicants may be provisionally accepted, subject to successfully completing their degree, with an academic record above 60%
  • South African citizenship
  • A Matric Certificate
  • Curriculum Vitae (no more than two pages, double spaced)
  • A motivation letter for admission (no more than one page, double spaced)
  • A suitable score in a psychometric assessment (conducted only on shortlisted candidates)
  • Strong ideal competencies: being a team player, strong analytical skills, and innovative thinking
